May 6th Frederick Sound to Stephens Passage to Tracy Arm

We departed Petersburg at 7:30am after fueling up. A Bald Eagle pair on our dock rested after performing mating acrobatics in the sky. We are hoping to make it to Tracy Arm but it is weather dependant as always
We enter Frederick Sound and encounter our first "Iceberg" moving along in the tidal current from the LeConte Glacier just south of our location. It is blue ice and appears as a lovely free form sculpture of an Artic bird taking off in flight.

The clouds change form revealing the mysterious dark forms of the coastline.
