August 2, 2013 - Before the "Rescue", Dante photographed Tufted Puffins and Johns Hopkins Glacier Calving

This Tufted Puffin has caught Herring and will return to the pair's burrow.

Tufted Puffins are not the most graceful flyers!

Tufted Puffins raise their young in a "burrow" that they both prepare with great care.

Johns Hopkins Glacier

The glacier calves as huge chunks of ice break off at the water line.

It carries rock and gravel from the grinding of ice on the surface under the ice.

Interesting patterns apprear as the glacier grinds its way to the tidal edge.

Humpback Whales feed in Glacier Bay.
As we were exiting the bay we were surrounded by a pod of Humbacks.

The whales came very close to Seventh Heaven!
