We departed Kake and headed for Cannery Cove on Admiralty Island. The island is supposed to have more brown bears i.e. Grizzlys than any other place in Southeast Alaska. We anchored for the night and with vigilance scoured the beaches for bears.
No bears but Louie caught some crab.
We call this "Louie's Crab Wash". He places the crab in a heavy net bag and ties it to the stern. We drag it until our next destination where he will cook them. They are scrubbed clean by the moving water. They don't call him "Crab Louie" for nothing!
