SOINTULA TO BLUNDEN HARBOR AUG. 5TH

On Aug. 4th Daniel arrived in Sointula. We were so excited to have him join us for our adventure north. In the morining we departed for Blunden Harbor. Our crossing of Queen Charlotte Strait took about five hours. We had a pair of White Sided Dolphins that played in our bow wake. They would circle around the boat, come up along both sides diving and splashing and then cross in front of the bow at unbelievable speeds. Other than a few patches of dense fog it was a good passage. Daniel naviigated the narrow entrance where we found an anchorage for the night. We explored the shoreline where the remains of the old village once stood. I scanned the beach hoping to find an old trade bead but it was not meant to be. In the morning we will round Cape Caution and then on to Duncanby near Rivers Inlet.
